Thomas Xavier Marsteller, 60, of Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
He was the son of the late Xavier and Martha Sue (Stiteler) Marsteller. Tommy is survived by his brother Charles Marsteller (Mary Ann) of La Center, WA; brother Harrison Marsteller (Jane) of Rising Sun, MD; sister Judith Offenback (Michael) of Levittown, PA; sister Jacqueline Merring (Ronald) of Lake Ariel, PA; and John Marsteller (Joyce) of Rising Sun, MD. Tommy was also a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Tommy leaves behind his best friend of 57 years George Sauerbaum (Jean) of Southampton, PA and the rest of the Sauerbaum family who loved him as one of their own.
Tommy worked with the US Postal Service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He liked to travel and was always the first person to try out any new type of technology – gaming systems, computers, and cell phones. Tommy will be remembered for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and bright smile. He could always be counted on to bring others joy.
A visitation will be held at Richardson’s Funeral Home (7450 Oxford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA) from 11am-12pm on Sunday, October 24. A service will immediately follow the visitation. Tommy’s remains will be interred at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, Honey Creek Woodlands memorial nature preserve in Conyers, GA by his family in the spring.
