We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Richardson Funeral Home
Sharon Ann Hoensch (nee McGinley), was called home to God on November 6th, 2021 at the young age of 59. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Hugh James McGinley & Mary Elizabeth McGinley, maiden name Coleman.
Sharon was the beautiful wife to Glenn Scott Hoensch for 33 years, she was the most amazing mother to Patrick, Jessica, Brian & Heather, sister of Hugh McGinley & sister-in-law to Karen McGinley of Blakeslee PA, sister of late Ralph McGinley & Charles McGinley.
Sharon became an LPN in 1981 & worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children for over 30 years. She volunteered at St. Cecilia’s, her children’s grade school, as a school nurse, a substitute teacher, helped with meals on wheels, & the giving tree & countless other organizations the school was involved with. Sharon also worked as a pediatric home care nurse until a disability took away her ability to work. Sharon then devoted her time to helping her children with whatever was needed such as homework, career paths, navigating through life & doing what she did best: loving her family & friends. Sharon adored spending time up the mountains, with her family & with her friends. She always took pictures of every moment & reminded us of the importance of taking photos to remember special moments.
All who knew Sharon knew that she was extremely loving & the most welcoming woman; she was a mom to all, always there to lend a helping hand, she was a shoulder to cry on, held her arms open for all to embrace, anything anyone needed, she was there for it. She has forever left an imprint on everyone’s life with who she came in contact. She was a hero to countless children over these years & always a hero to her own children as well as the most loving partner to her husband. As we learn to cherish all the memories we have with her, Sharon’s family & friends will forever be lost without her; she will be missed beyond comprehension.
