Rose Emma Vitelli
We grieve the loss on Monday June 1st, 2020 of Rose Emma Vitelli, out beloved mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister, and sister in law.
She passed away suddenly from natural causes. She was born on October 9th, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA, and resided in the city throughout here entire lifetime.
Rose is survived by her daughter Gia Aaron, son William "Billy" Vitelli, Jr. son in law Joshua Aaron, daughter in law Kristiana Vitelli, grandsons Justin Aaron,
James Aaron, and Jacob Aaron and William "little Billy" Vitelli, III. She is also survived by her brother James Henderson, Jr and sister in law Jane Henderson.
She was preceded in death by father James Spear Henderson and mother Rose Emma Henderson, and her husband William Vitelli, Sr.
Rose graduated from South Philadelphia High School and was an employee of Honeywell and Penn Mutual Insurance in an administrative capacity.
After the birth of her 1st child, she was a full time caring homemaker. Her hobbies included cake decoration, sketching, and reading. She was an avid
fan of old movies. She was a lover of cats. She was a devoted wife who was the primary caretaker for her husband who became ill with
multiple sclerosis at a young age and lived with the disease for 24 years prior to his death. She herself suffered from retinitis pigmentosa and was completely
blinded by the disease in her later years. Consequently she was a supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society [nationalmssociety.org]and the
Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation[fightingblindness.org] Donations to both of these societies are encouraged to be made in her name in memoriam.
Due to the Covid 19 emergency and the current rioting in the Philadelphia area the viewing and the burial, and the reception following are all required to be
held privately with immediate family members only in attendance. The viewing will be held on Thursday June 4th, 2020 at 10:00 am at Richardson's
funeral home 7450 Oxford Ave, Philadelphia, PA. Burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery, 6501 E. Baltimore Ave, Landsdowne, PA. The family will have a
private memorial gathering at the family residence therafter.
