Obituary

Joyce Reif (née Ruth), 78, of Philadelphia, passed away on February 14, 2022, at her home.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert W. Reif Sr, mother of Robert W. Reif Jr., and grandmother of Madelyn Reif.

Joyce was a Penn Treaty School graduate and worked as a Philadelphia School Crossing Guard. She enjoyed the many friendships she made throughout her years as a crossing guard. She also enjoyed spending time in the garden, cooking, baking, and taking care of her two bunnies, Maya and Cookie.

She was predeceased by her parents, Madelyne and Warren Ruth, and her brothers and sisters: William (Phyllis), Herbert (Georgeanna), Stanley “Butch” (Elaine), Dawn (Charles “Reds”), Charlotte (Gunther), and Evie (John). She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at the David G. Richardson Funeral Home located at 7450 Oxford Avenue on Saturday, March 5 at 11:30 a.m. Friends may greet the family from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
