Melinda “Mindy” Parker Klouser of Hatboro, PA passed away Tuesday, July 17. She lived a beautiful 61 years. Born in Philadelphia, she was the eldest daughter of the late Joseph T. Parker III and Marie Parker of Hatboro.  She was the beloved wife of John Klouser and mother of Jake Klouser, both of Hatboro.  Her siblings included Valerie Parker of Chalfont, Joseph T. Parker IV (Sharon) of Richmond, VA, Stephanie Parker of Chalfont, Melissa Parker (Charles Donahue) of Newportville, and Amy Parker Kleeman of Orlando, FL. She was daughter-in-law to Emelie Klouser of Marion Heights and sister-in-law to Michelle “Chellie” Klouser of Mount Carmel. She was also aunt to P.J., Andy, Emily, Chelsea, Renee, Joey, Kyle and Shawn. Her “adopted” family included her best friend of almost 40 years, Jayne Krinick (Gary) of Marlton, NJ and their daughter, Jakkie of Philadelphia.

Mindy was a 1978 graduate of Penn State University and launched her 40 year teaching career at the Martin School for the Deaf. She earned a Master’s in Early Childhood Ed in the 1980's from Chestnut Hill College.  She started at Lincoln High School in September 1987, where she taught Biology.  She also worked in the Roster Office at Lincoln, eventually becoming the Roster Chair.  Mindy also taught sign language at Northeast High School. She was a lifelong advocate for education, ESE, and special needs children.

Her greatest joy and life’s passion focused on her treasured son, Jake. He was the greatest gift she ever received and Jake was the luckiest kid in the world to have her as his mother. She spent everyday supporting Jake in leading a full life jam-packed with sports, theatre, dance, school, and camps. The vibrant, amazing, young man that he is,  a direct reflection of his Mom’s own personality.

Mindy will be remembered for her loving devotion to her students, friends, and family, her magnetic personality, kindness, compassion, and magical smile. She will be forever loved and missed.
