Edith E. (Kleinschmidt) Murphy

June 28, 1915 ~ February 21, 2019 (age 103)

Edith Kleinschmidt Murphy passed peacefully on February 21, 2019.  Born June 28, 1915 in Philadelphia where she spent the first 100 years of her life.  Beloved wife of the late James Murphy,  mother in law of the late George Hackett, Bill Petrone and dear grandmother of the late Christopher Hackett.

Edith is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara Hackett and Janice Petrone. She will be missed by her dear grandchildren Lara Hackett, Gina Deblander, Anthony Petrone and James Petrone.  Great grandchildren Skyler Sabin, Eric Deblander and Sophia Siemens.

Edith was a graduate of Kensington High School, Class of 1934.  She was a faithful member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church for 63 years.

Services will be held Saturday March 23, 2019 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church 808 Red Lion Road Philadelphia, PA 19115.  Visitation beginning at 10am.  Services to begin at 11pm.  Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Edith's name to Bethesda Presbyterian Church
